British high commissioner commits to support ig

British High Commissioner Kate Airey has reiterated their support to the Inspectorate of Government (IG) to the fight against corruption, maladministration and enforcement of the Leadership Code of Conduct. She informed the Inspector General of Government (IGG) Hon Beti Kamya Turwomwe that while they had supported the IG in the previous years, they were glad to continue the support in areas that the IG would identify.

The IGG thanked the High Commissioner for the welcome and for opening the doors to strengthening the partnership in the fight against corruption, maladministration and enforcement of the Leadership Code of Conduct. She shared the strategy of the IG for the next five years of making every Ugandan feel the cost of corruption and provoking them to join the fight against corruption.

The IGG and Deputy IGGs, Dr Patricia Okiria and Ms Anne Muhairwe paid a courtesy call on the High Commissioner at her residence in Nakasero. They were accompanied by the Director Special Investigations, Mr Joram Magezi, Manager Strategic Partnerships and PR, Ms Munira Ali and Mr Allan Bunyenyezi.
