One of the objectives of IAACA is "to promote the effective implementation of the UN Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC)". Since its establishment in 2006, the IAACA has successfully held three annual conferences and general meetings in Beijing-China, Bali-Indonesia and Kiev -Ukraine respectively, where participants had in depth discussions and studies on each chapter of the Convention, actively promoting effective implementation of the UNCAC, gaining extensive approval from the international society.

2010 is an important year for all countries and regions to honor their commitments in implementing the UNCAC, and strengthening and enhancing the construction of anti-corruption mechanisms, and also for the reform and development of IAACA. The theme of the 4th IAACA Annual Conference is "UNCAC Chapter IV: International Cooperation". Participants will have a chance to thoroughly share, discuss and prove into significant issues on international cooperation against corruption, such as extradition, transfer of sentenced persons, mutual legal assistance, law-enforcement cooperation and joint investigation. During the conference, new members of the executive committee of the IAACA will be elected, honorary membership will be conferred to executive committee members who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the organization, and the reform and development plan of IAACA will be discussed.
